Found a packer brisket my local butcher 5.99 lb. wish Costco or bjs would sell a packer they only have flats

Guess Costco's vary by region. Mine only has packers. They have been having the wagyu briskets for 5.99/lb for the last couple of months. Tempted to get another one. First one I did was really good. Krogers had packers for $1.99 this past weekend here.

I went with the pit boss because it felt heavier and the sliding cover gives you the option of grilling over an open flame. Picked up a small sear grill as well.

I currently have a pit boss and I'm thinking of getting a Rec Tec 700. The pit boss just has too big of a temp swing for me. Just need to convince the wife that the patio will hold 5 grills (after I get rid of the table).

I have not! But I have a Yoder. I'm set for pellet grills.

Looks to be their regular kamado joe grill but you use pellets instead of charcoal/wood.

Just pulled a couple Snake River Wagyu ribeyes off the Traeger. Pretty killer! Never thought Id be a fan of the pellet smokers. Always been a stick burner, but man they are nice!

Never heard of that brand. I know there is a controller you can get that’s supposed to keep the temp more steady. I’ve seen a few people change it.

I’ve never had a problem my self as well.

Mine will be off by up to 100 degrees between what I have it set to and what the temp probe on the lid says. I thought maybe the lid one was junk so I got out the one I use for my stick smoker and put it at grate level and it was also getting the same readings.

Here is the recteq. Most consider it one of the best without getting into the yoder category.

I've used Coleman Gas Grill several times and it cooks better than my larger one. It's a bit heavy, but the quality of the construction is impressive. The design is excellent, and it folds for rolling and storage easily. Kudos to the designer - If it's who I think it was, PJD, back a number of years ago on his TV show. The third burner adds plenty of additional heat when needed. A 1 pound propane tank will last well over an hour depending on the use of the burners. These screw in easily below the grill. The only minor exception is the roughness of the cast iron grates. These appear to be sand-cast and have a rough, gritty finish. During the initial few uses burgers and chicken will stick and leave a bit of their delicate charred surface on the grill. A smoother surface will season much easier. Otherwise, this is a nice grill. Recommended!

Hi all, I'm new to the BBQ thread here, but I dig cooking on a pellet smoker. I've had a Pit Boss for the past 3 years and love it. I reverse seared a turkey breast a couple nights ago and it came out juicy as always. My wife got one of those Popeye turkeys for Thanksgiving this year but I guarantee my smoked turkey breast will be gone first.

I have a Traeger and couldn’t be happier. Have had for about 4 years now and use it weekly. Have made everything from smoked salmon to prime rib, wings, brisket, ribs etc etc. only thing I didn’t like was the flimsy looking legs so I built a stand.

I know what you mean. I will never go back to a regular grill again.
