Beautiful tank from UK under Orphek Atlantik units
Today we are happy to share a 1000l (54L x 30D x 30H) 1000L reef tank from UK under the Orphek Atlantik V3 Plus Led Lighting.
Bill Disley is a client from the UK and was gentle enough to send us detailed information about his passion for the hobby and many beautiful photos to share.
He started this tank in March 2015, but truth is that he has been interested in fish and fishing since was little.
Around 2010 his sons were keeping marines, but according to him they were struggling to get good LED lighting so they asked for Bill’s help sincehas been an eletronic engineer who always enjoyed hand work.
One thing led to another and soon he knew a lot about water quality and livestock.
5 years later he purchased his current tank from a reefer in Wigan as he could not complete the project and never had livestock in it and the cabinet.
At that time he was using halides and T5’s on the tank, which according to him, came with the tank and produced a brilliant light, but it was hard trying to get the control he wanted and also had heat issues. That is when he decided to change to LEDs.
After a few tries he finally decided to go with our LED solutions.
The lights now are now 2 x Orphek Atlantik V3 Plus mounted on DD rails which he upgraded from the original 2.1b.
