I recently got back in and it’s been great. Enjoying some of the changes. Just fair warning be ready for nitrate and or phosphate bottoming out if you begin with dry rock. Ask me how I know. I was always dealing with high phosphate and nitrate back in the day when I used live rock. Now the opposite problem exists.Hello everyone! Excited about getting back into the hobby after a long hiatus from fish tanks. I didn’t want to jump back into saltwater right off the bat just so I could relearn the basics of caring for aquariums. So started off with a planted nano freshwater tank which has been doing well for several months. Now making the move back to saltwater (specifically reefing) with a Cade 900 S2. I’ve been lurking on R2R soaking in as much info I can. Taking what I already know from my past experience with saltwater with hopes of sharing my reef building experience with you all. First order of business, putting together a RODI mixing Station!

I’ve heard good thing about Cade aquariums. Starting with mixing station for water is a wise move. Happy reefing.
