This talk of 4 drains and 4 returns has me even more excited than before. Didn’t think that was possible....

Curious to the dimensions of the tank. Looks to have a lot of depth and aquascaping potential.
In awe of the size of that lad. Absolute unit

thanks my friend. It’s an oceanic tech 120g. 4ft x 2ft x2. It has more of a presence than the equivalent rimless. And the glass thickness and overall weight is...more robust. At this point I think it’s almost an antique, but it’s a beast

The twins run 4 drains and two returns all bottom drilled, what size are the bulkheads?

hasty measurement of diameter seems to be 2inches or a hair under. I am an ignorant yank so I’m not sure what the metric equivalent would be without looking it up

Ignorant plumber here too, at 2 inch holes I would be doing the center two as the drains and the outside two as returns.

I’ll take your word for it. I have no experience
May actually be able to go up to 1 1/4 but to keep things simple I think a 1 inch could work well

Did a thing. Have my final piece of gear on its way. Just snagged one of these

depending on where my tank ends up settling parameter-wise and how well this scrubber works, I may just keep my skimmer on hand in case of an emergency, and otherwise not skim at all.

we shall see

Also, if I do pursue the insane 4 return route, I could route the chords through the original return slots in the overflow...

Also, @danieyella what type of ATS do you have? @sp1187 i know you have the floating Santa Monica model. When did you start running it after the initial cycle

Edit. Question is for both of you lovely hoomans

Thanks. Everything I’ve read on here and posted by the dudes making our ATSs range from right away to two months after cycle. Trying to figure out what’s actually the best plan.
