And the Retrofit kit for the "750" which I assume they are including with the 625's now.

I also got another toy in yesterday. It's bigger than i thought. I haven't had a chance to take it out of the box yet.

And last but not least, if you didn't bleed - did you truly build something????

Very nice! Will follow this build.
I love your dog ❤

Welcome aboard and thank you! She never leaves my side for long shes a good old girl. Going on 8 years old now.

Ah...great news there was no damage.

So far so good! It's hard to see the fork mark was on the back, black side. I will know much better once i get it out of the crate completely, but I am not to concerned at this point.

I also wanted to update the equipment a little as some things have changed! I also purchased a Gyre 350 for some better flow along with the Regal 200INT, so it's a little more advanced (and expensive$$$) list than originally anticipated.

Tank - Red Sea Reefer Deluxe XXL 625
Lights - X3 Red Sea 90's with stock mounts
Controller - Old reefkeeper lite off my old tank. Although cannot find replacement probes for this anymore
Return - Current USA DC eflux loop 1950gph
Wave - x1 Gyre XF350 w/ Controller & Wireless I6VP
Wave - x2 Current USA DC eflux 2100gph for opposite side and back wall
Skimmer- Reef Octopus Regal 200INT w/ Varios Pump
ATO - Integrated Red Sea ATO
Doser - Bubble Magus BM-T11
Heater - x2 Eheim Jabeo 200 Watt
Fuge Light - IM Magnetic Fuge light (6 Watt) or an AI Sol (Both laying around from old tanks)

Oh? Hmmm. I find this info interesting.

I did to. The directions are for installing it on a 750 XXL, but looks like it can be installed in the 625 stand. I haven't looked at it to much as I was ready for bed after the stand installation yesterday but will update if it fits in the 625 when the time comes around to installing (It as to be installed after the sump gets put in).

So tonight i have two major updates for yall. First off, the RO Regal 200INT.

First impression: Its huge! I am not used to large tanks, so I am not used to large equipment but this thing is a beast! It's hard to imagine how big something is until you see it infront of you. Besides the the quality looks good. The Styrofoam in the box is horrible, crumbled up and got EVERYWHERE. But after getting that cleaned up I started assembly. The directions are.... terrible. It is merely a parts diagram. But once you start putting pieces together it went pretty quick and am excited to see it in action. It also fits in the skimmer section (with fuge section set to widest) perfectly.

The second update for the night - I unboxed the sump and played around with it a little. Set some of the equipment in it, skimmer, return, two heaters, etc... Everything seems to fit nicely and the sump looks in good condition. Will check it out better once it's ready to go in the cabinet and I feel safe to remove all the shrink wrap.

Hey guys! I'm back for my (what is becoming daily) progress update! Wednesdays are date night so normally I wouldn't have an update today, but since a nice storm came through today (1-2" of snow an hour) we decided to postpone it until tomorrow. (The storm ended up being kind of a let down, accumulations only totaled about 6").

I am beginning to like these updates. It not only lets me relax after working on the tank, but it also lets me sort my thoughts and reflect on my progress.

So today i played with the feet of the stand and manage to level it better than it was before. There is a little warp in the top board center from back to front. I think its there on purpose as it is all the way through, and once the weight of the tank is applied it would in theory flex to take the load. Almost like a tractor trailer has the flex in the middle until you apply weight. Nevertheless, I got it in a comfortable area until the tank is moved and more weight is applied. I will readjust at that point.

I also just bumped up the copper levels in the quarantine tank to 2.0 per Hannah Checker. So today marks day "1" of the 30 day count down. Everyone is looking pretty good so far. The Midas Blenny is one voracious eater that's for sure!

The second part of this evening I started to work on the "control board". I have always had spaghetti in the past and wanted to change that. This is my current running tank:
20191211_211006.jpg

So i vowed to change this. I started with pieces of laminate coated particle board. Unfortunately they didn't have the correct width, so i had to do some fabricating and join two pieces together. It turned out alright I think, at least for me.

I started hanging controllers on the board and power packs. I haven't mounted any power bricks to the back yet or ran any wires, but it is coming together decent. The middle area will be for my Reefkeeper Lite & it's PC4 power pack. The goal is for it to be free standing in the back of my dry side, with enough cord that i can turn the unit to access and of the wires or power bricks mounted on the back side. (It's a work in progress ha)

I almost forgot! What should be my last package for the tank arrived today: Gyre 350 w/ wireless controller. You can see in my previous pictures I already mounted the controllers, but here is a picture of its package. I am NOT impressed - there is no directions whatsoever except how to hook up the power supplies. There is a bunch of little plastic pieces and what looks like cord wrap, but nothing on how to set it up. Besides the lack of directions, the unit itself looks small and compact. It's hard to believe it can push what it claims with such a small package. Time will tell:) I do like the way you can turn the sides separately. I am also a little worried about glass thickness. I seen complaints that it tends to slide when over %50 on 3/4" glass, but the manufacturer claims it's rated for it. I will update later once water is running on how they work.

The tank came in today at the shop! I am unable to open it here but am a little worried. It looks like UPS stabbed it with a fork. It is not completely through the wood, hoping there is a space big enough between the shell and the glass that the wood was able to push into without cracking the glass.

I did mark it on the BOL as possible hidden damage due to the hole, we shall see!

When we got my daughter's E-170 it had a hole in same place. But because of packing there was no damage.

I'm glad it worked out in your favor! As of now mine looks good from what i can see on the inside of the tank and through the shrink wrap. It is clearly a fork puncture even if UPS denies it. I worked on our loading dock for 5 years before I ran the logistic department for an additional 4 years. I know when someone had their forks to high and hit the crate :) Been there done that.

I did to. The directions are for installing it on a 750 XXL, but looks like it can be installed in the 625 stand. My 625XXL also came with the kit. Seems to be standard these days? Haven’t gotten around to building the stand yet though..
