Hello fellow reefers. Long time Reefer here who has been out of the game for a while. I am incredibly excited to get back into it. I have started a 29 gallon reef tank, that I am starting out with Acans and zoas/palys. My end goal would be to work my way to SPS, but you gotta crawl before you walk . What are the best foods out there that you can feed for growth?

With a 29 gallon I would feed sparingly. I always preferred reef nutrition's line of refrigerated food like roe and mysis. Also, oyster feast and reef roids makes a nice slurry to feed LPS but a little goes a long way.

Welcome to R2R! I still use BRS Reef Chili, but I've heard great things about Reef Roids. Might try it myself. I agree completely with @DSC reef reef about feeding sparingly. In a tank that size, it would be very easy to drive up your nitrate level with coral food and a little goes a long way.

I have been leaning towards reef Roids with all the research I’ve done. I saw a lot of recommendations for zoanthid, but not as much research on using the reef Roids for acans as well. I appreciate all the quick feedback. I will use sparingly as I don’t want my nitrates to shoot up.
