A regal angel would be awesome if you’re willing to grow it from a juvi so it doesn’t eat your coral

I dont see an issue adding a trigger to your current livestock. There's only one rule i have when keeping triggers, never ever put a QUEEN trigger in a tank that has other fish unless you want them all dead.

Personally I would go with a regal as well. I have one in a 120 and he is a real jaw dropper. Fantastic colors and they have a very fun and cryptic personality. Mine is super friendly as well and they will not bother other fish. I highly recommend one if you are up for the challenge of getting it to eat, otherwise definitely go for it. (Go for a red sea or Maldives variant if you decide to get one since they have the best colors)

Thanks! However from your experience how many of these larger angels reach their “advertised” sizes when fully grown?

Like would you expect a 10” fish to get to 9-10” or top out more at 7-8”?
I have an emperor and Koran in 300gal 8’ and both are 10”+. My majestic hasn’t grown in years and is about 3.5 inches. I also have a 300gal 6’ reef with an annularis angel that is holding about 5-6”.he’s beautiful and doesn’t bother my softies. But not sure about SPS. I have a 110gal 4K’ reef with a purple tang. Works well so far. Purple started small and really has grown slow. Good luck! I vote Regal angel and Purple tang.

yep, unless they have a very big tank. I feel most larger fish won't approach their max size, but their features do change over time as they mature, especially with angles.

I love Tiger Angelfish (Apolemichthys Kingi) but the price tag can be eye popping. Guess we are talking about fish only tank right... as many of the angles are not reef safe.

If so, you might want to change the picture of the Marginalis on your profile. LOL
I love my wrasse as much I love him, he is just a lot more rare (also more expensive) however I wouldnt consider him a centerpiece fish because of his behavior in the tank. My wrasse, especially while flashing, steal the show.
