I have 2 of 4 of my favorite fish. I have 1 spot Foxface and a Panther Grouper (don't start with me on size/growth) They're both easy to keep friendly as "heck" and colorful.

My other 2 picks are going to be in a fish only tank and Clown Trigger and an Orb Batfish. I've had Orb Batfish in the past and they're amazing to watch cruise the tank and they get along with almost everything but they are curious and nip at all corals, like they're free samples at Whole Foods.

Happy Fishy Friday!

We all have those fish that we really love for various reasons. They have great personalities or they benefit the tank in such a way that they are just a pleasure to own. But if you had to pick one fish, that you've owned, that was your favorite and one that was the best which ones would it be? Let's talk about it!

1. What's the BEST fish you've ever owned and why?

2. What's the most FAVORITE fish you've ever owned and why?

All I want to know is what kind of fish is this? Yes, I could use Google lens to search, but I'd rather you tell me exactly about this fish. I want one.

Royal Gramma or fairy basslet. beautiful colors, peaceful temperament, reef compatible, cool behavior, easy to keep and fair priced. I know it is common but honestly, found my friends and family I am the only one around keeping this hobby, so everybody is very impress by the basslet looks (also by the coral banded shrimp)

Achilles Tang has been my dream fish since I changed from Freshwater aquariums. I also like the Black and Gem Tangs. I'm getting a Gem Tang in 2 weeks! Still, I'll wait for the Hawaii fish to be available again to get one

Favorite/best fish that I own is my copperband. He’s eaten a few corals but he’s so beautiful I forgave him and he’s still my favorite lol. Devours aiptasia and has the best personality, eats out of my hand and lets me touch him.

Favorite fish that I don’t own has to be a majestic angel. For some reason I’ve just always absolutely loved that fish for as long as I can remember.

My favorite is a Mandarin Gobi, always loved them, got lucky over 20 years ago, got one and was told they needed love rock to eat, so I put a piece of live rock into a 15 gallon aquarium and got lucky it ate frozen food for years moving up in tank sizes.
