My favorite fish is a Moorish Idol, I've always wanted a couple of them but always been thrown off by how unstable they are. Heard to many horror stories to make me finally break down and fill my fantasy fish dreams

How does one choose .....

Most unusual is the zebra tang. I haven’t seen one for sale in years and the last one I did see was stupid expensive. Is it my favorite, dunno. I’m partial to leopard wrasse and I have a bunch of different species. Best ‘worker’ is the dusky wrasse ....chevron a close second.

That tank is amazing!!!!

My favorite fish has to be a spotted dogface puffer! They’re adorable and I absolutely love them! I was able to get my hands on my very own dogface puffer, the only problem is he’s striped instead of spotted :( But, that doesn’t make me love him any less. He’s so bossy and tells me when it’s lights off time and when it’s feeding time, I’m guilty of letting him boss me around and feeding him when he wants, so he’s grown a bit of a belly. He has definitely been my favorite fish I kept and he’s probably the best I kept too (but if he keeps spitting at my family I’m afraid he’ll be demoted to second best)

My favorite is clownfish, just the way they swim around is just hypnotizing, but my favorite fish I've had so far is my Yellow Watchman Goby or Gezer (as my family and I call him). He just looks grumpy 24/7, he has his own "lawn" (GSP patch), all in all, he has a lot of character.
Gobies and blennies crack me up! Gobies always look grumpy and blennies are either grumpy or nervous looking XD

I love mostly all puffers but never really liked the “dogface” ones... I guess cause I’m not a dog person and I’m allergic. My favorite of all time is the porcupine puffer though :D our biggest by far is this fatty my husband named Leviathan, close to football size

Porcupine puffers also have to be a favorite of mine! I honestly was influenced by the name of "Dogface Puffer" so I could name it Milkbone lol! I'd love to get a porcupine puffer when I'm able to upgrade and get separate tanks!

Really ? Clown Trigger #1 why?

I just got a Juvenille Clown Trigger. Very small 1.5", but very healhty.
My plan was to take care of him as long as I can. He is all alone for now, in 10 Gallon QT for a month of observation/treatment (if necessary).
Next stage would be to move him to a 35 Gallon 3 Foot wide Rock only Tank (two Picasso Clowns)..
Down the road as he grows, my options vary 90 Gallon or 110 Gallon Display Tank.
Beyond that as he grows, I don't know.

Any tips at this Early stage?

Well my Best Fish Ever is pretty well most of the fish I have had, except Blue Green Chromis which are a pain.

My Copperband Butterfly's probably come #2.

Top #1 of the list would be a my Helfrichi Firefish. He is just beautiful. Small, shy, but get's head turns even from a distance.

However the newest addition is really Cool.

A Box Fish. (the guy on th RIght)

Is that one (boxfish) that nukes the whole tank if it gets stressed or dies?

Yes that's what they say. I've read quite a bit about the risk before buying him.

That's why when deciding which tank he would go into, I took the least risk and put him into my 35 Gal Coral Holding Tank which is isolated from my DT's

BoxFish-FragTank-3.jpg

Flow is low, and no nasty pumps to hurt him. Box Fish is Quite the delicate swimmer.

He can't nuke all my fish in my 90G or 110G (which would be a complete dissaster) . Only risk is A Pair of Picasso clowns. (Let's hope nothing happens since I do like the clowns, and a pair is tough to find these days)

He just went into the 35G a couple days ago after 30 days of Well Behaved QT. He did have ick when I got him and it was cured with Copper Treatment.

I trained him to eat in QT and he eats any meaty foods.

He absolutely loves his new home, pecks at pods and really get's along with the Clowns.

He has no fear of me, that's probably since he know's he is Cute but Deady!

i ask currently housing both my favorites and the best. They are my only two saltwater fish and I got them two days ago. They are the Hectors goby and the pink streaked wrasse. The wrasse is still warming up to me so I will post a pic later on but the goby is fearless.

You can hold down on the video and press download linked file and click on the arrow that pops up next to your search bar. If you’re ona computer I’m not sure how to do it. Maybe right click?

I do not have my favorite fish yet, but some day I will catch it on my fishing rod...
It's a Atlantic Catfish, Anarhichas lupus, and it like cold, atlantic water.

Percula and gladiator clownfish. I've never been this attached to fish before. Not sure what made me such a fan so fast, but they're my absolute favorite!
