I use 2 H380’s to light a 75g fuge below my 210. I don’t need to skim. They aren’t cheap, but it grows a dense clump of chaeto, caulerpa, and seagrass. Place is a pod factory. Have had for over a year and very pleased. Together, they burn the tops of the algae, IMO H1200 totally overkill.
The fiancée calls it the “pink pallace under the sea.” A black cloth normally hides it from view.
My sump is in the basementI'd worry about moisture with this. Especially if in an enclosed cabinet with a skimmer.
75 is the fuge size. My H380's are mounted about 12-14 inches above the water, and at that height I DO agree 2x is overkill. I think you will be fine, good luck!I also have a 75 gallon as a sump and ordered a H38 but haven't set it up yet. How big is your fuge and do you think one h380 will work on it instead of two?
