I think that's a bad pic of purple stylo, but the white polyp tips do kinda wash out the purple.

JF Grape juice is an all purple acro, or purple montipora cap.

A tank with green, red, and purple montipora cap intermingling would look amazing.

What do you think? Best orange? this is LPS though. A similar color branching variety would look great with SPS though.

I'm really curious about real-world coloration on the TCK Atomic Echinata... this is their photo from the "colony photo" thread in their subforum.

For non-acropora, ORA German Blue Digitata is awesome blue and ORA Purple Digi is awesome purple, but they are not easy corals. Anacapora have some nice colors and are usually eaiser than acropora.

Just got a green Psammocora and Blue Stylo from Vivid, very happy with the colors. The red Monti I got is kind of disappointing so far. I still need a good yellow and orange as well. Vivid has the porite, though the color in their pictures is pretty bland.

I would look at montis, especially the wavy plating / encrusting forms.

A monti with adequate light and good chemistry can glow brighter than a lot of Chalices.

I have yet to see an actual hobbiests picture of these echi pieces. I have seen a bunch come in but all the pictures look like they are adjusted to make a green coral look orange. If it is really a nice orange base with green tips I will be excited. Bali has to have a bunch of this variant too.

IMO/IME:
Red: Tyree brick red cyphastrea (it's more red than pink or orange)
Orange: Orenji montipora (hot orange)
Yellow: RR pink floyd (pretty yellow acro)
Green: green slimer (neon green)
Blue: oregon tort (royal blue)
Purple: purple monster acro (rich purple under daylights)

The picture of the Battlecorals orenji is more accurate IMO and looks exactly like the one I have. It really stands out in a tank esp under blue/actinic lighting.

I will probably roll the dice on the WWC orenji since I have other corals I want from them, they are also close enough for in store pick up.

yeah, check out the WWC one in person. The orenji should be a much hotter and brighter orange, compared to an orange monti cap or orange digitata, IMO
