Are you looking for best color of SPS or best color of acros? Acros probably have the best range and vibrancy

Looking for best color overall, I am personally interested in corals besides acro. Acro will probably be out of my league for a while.

Though I am still interested in seeing which Acros you think are the best?

Acropora is not the only SPS! ;Cyclops

I would recommend against the Pocillopora as it can be pretty invasive when it spawns in your tank.

Green is one of the more common colors for coral so there are tons of other green SPS to choose from (Green Psammocora is a popular one that comes to mind). For yellow I like 24K Leptoseris. And Blue I would agree with Oregon Tort. For red I like something like Forest Fire Digi.

Is it a matter of when not if?

I have read that here and have been thinking about it. It just looks so cool, I wish I could see that color in person to ponder the risk.

Yellow - Porites or turbinaria
Red - Red montipora cap, maybe a digitata monti, but those seem a bit more orange to me
Blue - acros your best bet, oregon tort being a very common solid blue

secondary colors:
green - Kelly Green Psammacora, green monti (digi or cap)
orange - orange setosa monti, forest fire digi
violet - purple stylo,

Loving the colors. Great suggestions. Only one that disappoints a bit is the stylo, I am sure I can find an acro that would shame it. Branching psaccocora tempting me.
