Best Place to Buy Saltwater Fish

I live on LI and was wondering the best and affordable place to purchase Livestock either locally or via the web.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have yet to get fish but I am going t rely on the LFS. She is very knowledgable, will have a good understanding of what is in my tank, and fish will come from the same place. Give me a little comfort.

I buy from a trusted lfs. he can order any fish I want. I prefer to see what I'm buying and make sure they are eating. that being said, many people buy online and are happy.

Local fish stores here fell to the wayside. I wish we had a nice mom n pop store to deal with. That's why I order from live aquaria, little expensive but their quality and customer service is too notch.

Remember, paying a premium for healthy, well conditioned fish is cost effective. You will suffer lower mortality and have less disease risk. Getting a bargain price is not a bargain if it is paired with high mortality.

My LFS is one of the best in the country to buy coral. But with fish I have had better luck with liveaquaria.com. I had a tang kick it and they replaced it without question(except a picture of the dead fish). They sent one out know charge to replace it. I am presently looking for another fish now from liveaquaria and will buy again.
