What are you supplementing for in your reef tank?

Please let us know what brands you are using as well!

Reef tank supplements are key to keeping corals other livestock healthy and happy. Your livestock uses these elements up over time, so they need to be replaced!

Esv-Strontium weekly
Acro Power weekly

Not supplemntal but I use these to control alk/ca.
Carx in large system.
ESV 2 part in my other 2 systems.

I'm pretty simple so my list is short. Esv bionic two part in one tank and Tropic Marin AFR in 2 others. I do add TM bacto balance to the tank that get the two part but I'm not sure that would be considered a supplement?

AFR. Love it. Easy, and the corals respond very favorably. I don't go chasing numbers, so some would say my Alk is a bit low, but I just periodically up the dosage of AFR and everything keep humming along.

Absolutely NOTHING. Over the years I've tried Aquavitro Fuel(favorite),Acropower, Red Sea AB+, Red Sea Trace Colors, & a few others. They've either made my sand brown, turned Acro’s green, or messed with my PH..Now I only use Seachem Reef Fusion 1 & 2(2 part)Brightwell Magnesium, Kalkwasser, & good old biweekly WATER CHANGES with Tropic Marin Pro. Since going with the simple method I haven't dealt with any STN RTN or any other weird random situations & my Acro’s grow FASTER than when I did use products..

Good lighting, water changes for trace elements, plenty of fish poop and good filtration always has been my choice.

For 23 years I did consistent water changes and let Instant Ocean salt mix replenish my tank.

However I cut back my water changes about a year and a half ago. Then 6-8 months ago I stopped water changes and needed something to replenish trace minerals so I tried AFR. It's been great and my tank has never looked better.

Basically nothing. Just a calcium reactor and automatic water changes at the moment.
Considering doing some trace dosing but honestly, never really seen an impact of it in the past.

NP-Bacto-Balance for carbon dosing, AFR + BRS three part for the big three, and finally Redsea AB+ for amino acid. Once in awhile zoo and phytoplankton.
