Sigh that was almost painful lol
so anyone that was curious the tally so far ~as follows
Eheim/Ebo Jagger -66
Via Aqua Titanium -11
Won Bros -1
Rena Cal -1
Wow, Eheim Jagger out rank the other brands that much.
I'm surprised that Finnex isn't a little higher, but i use both of those and have no complaints. I think the difference is that any Jager will do great, but the Finnex Digital is the way to go IMO
I believe that is because they were the top of the line heater before some of the others even started coming out.
I used Ebo Jagger heaters more than 25 years ago. Those first heaters were broken because they were glass long before they quit working.
Freaked out as need new heaters and so unsure what is best. Need 1 for two seperate 29 gallon tanks (QT) and 2 for my reefer 450?:????
The cobalt neotherm has had great reviews
honestly its going to come down to are you a hanes or fruit of the loom kind of guy....
I have digital thermometers in my tank and in my sump , watch temps. Closely and you can catch any problems before it becomes a real problem. I use ehiem 300 watt in my sump and a 400 watt in DT both set at 79 degrees, but I monitor temps three are four times a day , just had my temp jump 2 degrees in two days and had my heater in my DT fail to the on position , had spare replaced it and all is good again , monitor temp. Regularly. IMO
I'm am Finnex Titanium man myself. lol
I'm with you. Finnex Titanium heater run by a controller.
how many Eheim Jager and watts for a 90 gal tank? I was thinking 2 150W ?
Finnex is a great. I had good experience with this saltwater heater.
Finnex, have two on my RKE. temp is 98.5, never wavers.
98.5?? Typo 78.5 maybe?
In my research I came to the conclusion Finnex Titanium was the way to go.
So many good reviews. They are on my build list for future tank
I use Eheim Jager. I would like to get two smaller ones and a controller before it goes and I loose everything (knock on wood).
Two heaters per aquarium, run on Apex for control.
Eheim are great. I've used them forever but with my recent built had to go with finnex titanium do to eheim 300w being huge and not fitting my sump.
Finnex if using an apex controller is what I'm using. So far so good.
