Hey everybody,
I was just wondering what the best or a good supplement would be for soft corals.
Something that would just give them an extra kick.
I was looking at instant ocean reef accelerator but it seems too cheap to work well.
I’m just looking for something that would benefit my frags and tank.

watching along to see what people thing. I have always heard that with softies replacing trace elements was important. I've used seachem fuel, but I haven't seen any real results from that.

Fish poop from a well fed fish!

But I also use a dosing regiment that replaces trace elements as well. ATI Essentials Pro.

I feed reef roids, add Acro power(for aminos). Sometimes you can feed the brine shrimp too. But I read an article, fish poop is best coral food. Instead of increase ammonia and other nutrients, well fed fish poop is nutritious for coral.

I would not dose for softies, especially for anything you aren't testing for. Softies will grow well with regular water changes and "dirty" water. As stated above, fish poop is a great source of nutrients for most coral. My softies always grew like crazy without direct feeding or dosing anything. Stability is what counts. Make sure that your SG stays consistent along with a good light and you will be good.

Feed your fish. Don't over-skim or run a 12hr refugium light.
