Question: Are adult Indian Gold Ring Bristletooth Tangs brown or black as adults? I've seen pictures of both, but not sure if they are the same type of Tang or if they're different, or if they come in an array of colors... @4FordFamily you seem to be very knowledgeable about Tangs. Do you know the answer to this?
Brownish with somewhat of a purple hue. They can be as dark as a blackish coloration. Most Kole and close cousin tangs have this appearance and similar color as adults.

I have a tomini tang in my 4', 90 gallon. He is really wonderful.

Been thinking of pick up one myself for the 75 gal mixed reef I’m building. It’s all peaceful fish though so I’m not sure. I know if I do I would add it last.

Mine has been peaceful so far, but to be transparent, he is only still a 2" juvenile.
