That’s so beautiful. I think you just made up my mind on tank manufacturers. CDA is semi local, so I can just drive down with a trailer to pick it up instead of paying shipping charges. I’m going for pretty much the same thing except 12” shorter. 60 x 30 x 24

You can’t go wrong with them. I think you will love the tank you get from them. Zoya was very easy to work with.

This will show you I can’t stand still, LOL!!! I am doing as much plumbing and planning as I can until my tank is up on the stand.

Now I need to remove the overflow so I can cut down the bulkheads.-

I will add, what will end up being the emergency overflow later, just wanted the others to dry first before I add it. I will drop the union below the others to gain some type of access in case I need to get to the union. I hope I don't ever have to, as its some kind of pain to get to it, LOL!!!

Actually, I just thought that I may drop the center overflow/emergency below the tank and stand. The outside unions aren't as hard to get to, but the center is a pain. I may drop it below the tank and stand, thus, I can reach it from under the stand to loosen it, or tighten it.

I just purchased 2 100 gal RO/DI membranes to help produce more water quicker. The membranes I have are 75 gal membranes that are almost 3 years old, so they were due. I am also thinking of purchasing a Neptune ATK Top Off kit. I like having everything tied into one system, thus the ATK. I love my Tunze 3155 system, it has never failed me, but I constantly look at my Neptune Fusion, thus adding the ATK system.

I have a similar overflow box and the first time I filled water to the overflow, the bulkhead was a little loose coming out of the box and I had a leak. As it turned out, I was able to fix it by loosening the unions and turning the pipe in order to tighten the bulkhead from the external overflow box. So I really like your idea of having easier access to all of the unions, as it ended up being really important and helpful during my initial setup.

I started to tear down my 120 gal tank today. The tank will officially be down tomorrow. I removed everything that I could today and I am in the process of cleaning it. Skimmer, 2-part vessels, carbon reactor, C02 reactor, and such. I will remove the water and take out the fish tomorrow and then fill it with tap water and add citric acid to it to help with the cleaning. I also continued plumbing on the new tank upgrade.

Currently shutting down my 120 gal tank. My gosh shutting a tank down is a pain, LOL!!! Fish are not happy, of course, but it will be much better for them in the new tank. I will pull the water out later on and then fill it again with tap water and dose citric acid to aid in cleaning the tank.

So no, I have not been sitting around, I have been continuing on the build. I continued plumbing on the upgrade, though I still have yet to have it lifted on the stand. I also shut down my 120 gal tank. My 40b is loving life. As I shut down my 120 I tried to remove any snails I found, hopefully I found them all.

Tank is officially on top of the the stand.;Nurse;Hilarious I will probably start to finish the piping Monday. I am on call for my job this weekend, and I don’t like to start something only to be pulled away from it.

The black lines are the drains, the blue lines are the returns, the yellow lines is where I will make a 1x2 brace to support the 2 returns. I will also add 4 flow sensors, 2 for the returns and 1 for the Algae scrubber and 1 for the carbon reactor. I will add 2 check valves as well. Though I kinda know where I want to install them, I will finalize the position as the plumbing comes together. Never plan a plumbing plan out thinking it will always work, between changing your mind and items not being the exact size you imagined, you have to remain flexible on changes before gluing the PVC together.;)

I started with the plumbing today. I would be done with the drains, but I only measured twice before glueing, so I will need a coupling to shorten a section by 1/4 inch.;Facepalm

It’s starting to look like a tank though.
