I have considered going with Steve’s but last week I cut out some of the clear plastic light cover and siliconed in a piece of glass. The plastic was hazy and scratched up. I have a monti cap that is now showing growth daily.

I am going to remember this if I have any light issues, thanks for sharing!

Really easy to do. The local hardware store cut the glass to size and was only $2.50. Big difference in the intensity of the light.

I have few questions about the nitrogen cycle and I am planning to get Dr.Tim's One & Only Live Nitrifying bacteria and ammonium chloride for the cycle. I understand that for first 24 hrs we should not run any filtration or skimmer. So from when I should run the filtration ? Can you please explain on the process.. as i am starting new tank I dont want to make any mistake that might affect the cycle
I think the thread ran away from you on the Biocube debate lol.

Watch these videos, should explain the majority of your questions.
