I did find a thread from 2018 discussing this. The recommendation was to use suction cups. Just wondering if there's any new recommendations. So I'm trying to install the Biocube skimmer but the inTank water director is where I'm supposed to attach the skimmer. Anybody figure out a solution?

I have one of the original BioCube29s, for 10+ years now, so maybe it different, but I determined a long time ago the skimmer is worthless BUT the AquaticLife 115 skimmer is better and fits great in the first chamber, been using it for years AND have the InTank media basket too, both for like 10 years now…

I used the Aquaticlife 115 with a plastic coated magnet inside skimmer to secure and provide ability to easily adjust height.

I have the V2 version of the skimmer which is supposed to be better. I'm new to reefing and since I already have this skimmer, I'm just going to go with it. I took out the tabs in chamber 2 in case I want to use the tunze 9001 down the road. I can use suction cups but I wasn't sure if it had to be placed up against the wall between chambers 1 and 2 like in the instructions or as long as it's anywhere in chamber 1 it's fine?

Is it a true skimmer or just an air stone like the first version?
This is the skimmer. I have no idea about true skimmer vs just an air stone diff.

I just looked at the description and it says that this skimmer no longer needs an air stone and includes an air pump.
