This week I ordered a captive bred Centropyge bispinosa (Coral Beauty) angelfish from Biota's online store @Biota_Marine . I also ordered two of the Biota LPS frags to get to free shipping. This is my first order from them.

Before I ordered I emailed Biota and got a very fast response back from Jake Philips (General Manager of their Florida facility). Jake assured me that the Coral Beauties currently in their tanks are of small size and would fit great in my nano tank. I placed my order that day.

Today the day of shipping it looks as if UPS was going to fumble the ball and delay the delivery until Monday. That would have meant that the box with corals and fish would have sat at UPS warehouse all weekend. Quick email to Biota team and they were able to get my shipment expedited and back on track for delivery today. Jake even said they have had incidents where shipments sat at customs for seven days and the livestock inside were still fine. They pack all livestock with pure oxygen and additives to mitigate the risk of loss. Amazing.

I will update again once I get the new additions added to the system. But, based on my experience so far I will be purchasing more Biota fish in the future. I truly appreciate the service and the care they take with these amazing animals. It is commendable.

Coral Beauty and all the corals arrived in perfect condition. All three are acclimating to my system. The coral beauty was perfect nano size. Already nipping at the rock work and doing its job. the corals colored up right away.

Looking forward to a Biota yellow or purple tang at some point in the future once I upgrade.

I Support Biota and what they are doing to help the oceans. Sustainability is really important for this hobby long term. Check out some of their videos on YouTube as well.
