this past week my female clown jumped out of the tank and found it on the floor. I was devastated. I’ve had a mated pair in my tank since the beginning, February.

Some good news. I went to lfs yesterday and got a new storm clown. I picked up a small one per posts on this site. I ended up taking out my anemone rock once the clown was acclimate and “pushed“ it into the nem hoping it would take. It didn’t At the time but my wife woke me up at 3am saying the nem hosted the new clown. Right now it’s name is “Fin”. It’s a storm clown.

Anyway super happy it only took a day. The male clown and the new one haven’t quite paired up yet but they occasionally go by each other We will see. I’m hoping the male will follow Fin into the nem.

I hope they pair up and the new one lures the male in.

Sorry don’t have a good pic yet.

Poor thing. Time for a check that the lid fits tightly enough.

For future reference, don't push clownfish into anemones. They have to carefully coat themselves in the anemone's slime to avoid being stung, so they can't just get shoved in.

Hopefully they pair up! Your currently male clownfish might end up becoming the female, assuming he's larger.

Right. I did let the new clown nip at the anemone on its own first but good call.
yes, the male is twice the size of the new clown. The one on the left is the male.

i need to make a custom lid, I thought someone on here makes them.
