Black...conch?

Can anybody identify this black conch? I'm guessing that's what it is. I have never seen him in my tank before, until now. He is extremely small, probably why I never noticed. How big will he get? TIA!

Check the snout, if it's marbled or "tattooed" then most likely whelk. It could be a type of dove snail, but you would see it eat algae like other algae eating snails. Does it react to food when you feed the tank? Whelks and nassarius are very similar in behavior sometimes.

Definitely looks live a dove snail. Unfortunately, I don't know where he went. I'm sure he will turn up at some point. I think hes cool being all black though. Thank you!
