Hey guys,
I'm new to the whole saltwater set-up
My tank is about 6 months old and I woke up this morning and found all these little brown bugs hanging around. I can't give you any idea of the water quality until I get it tested tomorrow but I did do a water change today and got these little suckers out. I only have 2 blue tangs and 2 yellow and a couple of clown fish in my tank. This is the best picture and video I could get.
It's zoomed all the way in 20210102_230559.jpg

Got the water tested today
My PH levels was 8.0
Nitrite was clear so zero
Nitrate was 20
And ammonia was reading 2.0
I could be wrong but 2.0 and up or ammonia is not good or not ideal anyways? The aquarium said it is not a dangerous level

NH3 @ 2.0 is acceptable if you're cycling rock, but it's well above toxic for fish.
For me with anything aside from bacteria, 0.5 is toxic, and anything above 0.02 is too much !!

What I thought?
Any pointers on how to bring my ammonia levels down? I have just done a water change yesterday.

What test kit can you buy locally/online for NH3?
If they used a less-than-stellar kit I'd question the reading with your running tank, short of something currently rotting in there

Creating a strong bulwark: Did you consider floor support for your reef tank?
