I read that if prazipro didn’t work it was prob something else.. are all the specks pepper sized or do some vary in size more like a patch

here are a few photos.hope you can see what I’m referring to. These were taken at one week and at 3 weeks with prazipro.

There are two species of turbellarians. One is smaller and leaves those very small spots; and the other larger can leave the bigger marks.

The black spots from turbellarians can remain and somewhat "stain" kinda like a tatoo of sorts after the worm has dropped off from treatment.
Will the spots ever go away? It seems the spots “move” like the old spots heal and then there are new spots.

I can’t seem to figure it out. Just want to get them healthy and back in the DT.

I’m considering just putting them back. Other then the dots they eat and act normal. Not really sure at this point.

will probably try the hydrogen peroxide and fw dips. Maybe even formalin but I really didn’t want to do the formaldehyde thing.

here are photos from right now

Formalin is pretty nasty stuff that has possible life shortening effects on your fish. It seems to vary a bit depending on the fish how bad the long term side effects manifest.

I'd give it a couple of more days and observe.

I just did a hydrogen peroxide bath today. Used the over the counter “3%”. 1 to 4 parts tank water. About 25-30 min. Fish seem to be breathing heavy during and after. I will keep feeding the medicated food and observe for a few more days.

I really do not want to do the formaldehyde/formalin dip if I can avoid it.

thanks everyone for your input. If I can get this dealt with and pin point what treatment worked- hopefully it will help another reefer in the same boat.

Update: 12 hours after first dose of prazipro directly into DT. TANG spots have dropped about 20 percent. Skimmer going absolutely insane. Corals look good (zoas closed up a tiny bit) anemone looks great. I have faith in this method. Stay tuned

How did it go?
I have a Blue Hippo Tang with this, and I was going to treat tomorrow.

Prazipro worked for me. Make sure you remove carbon and run your skimmer without a cup to keep the treatment in your system. The skimmer will keep your water oxygen up. I’d crank it up as high as you can. Lots of bubbles.

Thanks for that.
I added the PraziPro to my tank. I have stopped the Skimmer and Carbon/GFO Reactor.
I'm hoping this works for the poor guy.

Hi folks. I've noticed my vampire tang as what looks like black spot but no other tangs. In nervous about trying treatments in my display tho because of my corals. How have others got on. Tia
