Im not really worried just curious ?

Just took some new pictures in morning now lights have come on.one the stems has the flower like things retracted.

Also another question.from that same rock i got the gsp on i cut up some frags to stick to back glass and seen these white little also flower things.im thinking some variety of digitate hydroids, tried googling them but cant find anything that exactly same.

A interesting variety of black branching hydroids I've never seen before, the other ones are maybe the same thing, maybe solitary hydroids (or are they connected with thin white lines on the rock?), Not digitate ones

If you're not super concerned, I'd maybe leave the black one alone, May or may not turn into one of the ones with a beautiful shape

Thanks for reply. The white ones on tiny frag on the overflow definately not connected,i did actually pull them all off out of the water but ovbiously must left few pieces behind as 1 week later they grown back on one the frags. I will pull it off and try get all the white ones leaving nothing behind as on main colony looks like i got them all.
Im not sure if black ones are connected or not,i will try have a look to see and will research a little on black branching hydroids to get some info so thanks.from what i know about hydroids ( which is next to nothing ha ha ) is that not hardly anything eats them ^_^

Treat those sites with a grain of salt, they are more to show off the photographers skill or are restricted to some locality, there are thousands of different hydroids, almost as much as all corals put together

Also black branching hydroid isn't a name, just a hydroid that is branching and also black, found very little on black hydroids to begin with but there are a few, some quite beautiful, like Lytocarpia niger, which is not to say that that is what you have just because its on Google images and looks similar, but the branching structure does look similar based on what little is visible on your pic

So when you say look beautiful, they will turn another colour or grow or change into something else you think ?
As looking with naked eye, they just look like a black twig ^_^

Well the pictures I found were looking like very symmetrical black feathers.

Black is a rare color in general for things in aquarium, gives a nice contrast to other things

I would keep it isolated and watch the growth pattern of it. Hydriods are mostly dangerous to fish fry and seahorses.
If it seems to grow fast and spread quickly, you can toss it.
If its a slow grower and keeps to itself, keeping it wouldn't be so troublesome.

Ok will do.just dont want it spreading on my main rock structures as all glued together and was pain in butt to fit them in top of tank as its braced so will be pain to get out but the rock the gsp and these black hydroids on literally covered in everything, some kind worm with multiply tentacles so guess spaghetti worm well few of them and vetteguy i showed something he said looks like tentacles of a spiribod worm, well counted 5 tentacles near each other so as they have 2 each thats least 3.then theres that sun coral you id,then red things sticking up so guessing start of some macro algae then feather dusters galore then either vermitted snails or juat them curly little white worm things spirobod or something like this, plus other ampripods and just teaming with life.im wanting natural tank but sometimes i think maybe when get corals should really just take coral off frag plug or rock and bin everything, but we will see in time if made correct choice ha ha

Im guessing the white curly things are them harmless worms and not start of vermitted snails ?
Red things sticking up idk
More black hydroids underneath rock i see today.
And the orange thing at edge of rock a tube worm or feather duster as it retracts when shine light on and can see feather duster as comes back out
