Was a bit surprised they are putting out a small frag tank as well

Is the studio 12 actually have 12g capacity because I'm seeing from other people that the fluval 13.5g isn't 13.5g more like 11g
No clue....Not sure how I would test that besides measuring how much water I put in at the start

Yeah that's one way

The other way is Measure the inside dimensions... length x width x height in inches ... then x0.004329 to get the gallon anount

Do it for both tanks to compare

Update 9/1/22 -

Some more sad news to report... My gold hammer got knocked off of its spot where I glued it. I had it just laying in the sand for the past couple days because I didn't have the time to glue it back. Came back home from school today to find it wedged as a door to my pistol shrimps cave (other side of the tank) upside down. Turned it over to see that all the polyps had bailed out. I also had what was left of the digi frag on the literal opposite side of the tank next to my blasto and he had also taken that as a door for the other side of his burrow. Man needs his doors haha! I just wish they weren't my prized corals!! I even gave a couple snail shells for him to use. Oh well

I guess this is just a good lesson to me - never leave coral in the sand with a pistol! THEY WILL MOVE IT.

It a new environment for the shrimp ... doesnt have it original home in the old tank anymore ... probably thinking new place, new things coming better make myself a home asap
Nah its the same tank. Haven't switched to the Studio 12 just yet. Maybe has something to do with his goby dying. But he has always been the mega construction man

Hey @The Deaf Reefer I think you're right about it including other stuff.

I was checking out the specs on their website and it says it includes some floss and carbon. Maybe the early ones didn't include any so they could get shipped out faster. Just a guess

Been a while since I've posted here! Tbh reason behind that was because I haven't really touched my tank besides for feeding. Really has taken a backseat since school started. I want to get the Studio 12 going soon but haven't really had the time.

I'll throw in a few pictures - lots of algae because I'm behind on cleaning/water changes

Another thing I want to post about - does anyone know why my ricordea would bleach all of a sudden? Could it have been that I put the frag rack in the tank again and it wasn't getting enough light? I would really appreciate your input because I want this guy to live lol.

For reference, this is what he used to look like like a week ago (picture older than a week but same look)
