Blotchy appearance on my mimic tang

Hi there! My mimic tang has started looking super blotchy, looks like damage but there’s nothing in my tank that could be bullying him! Have moved him to a q tank, he’s also flicking a lot and seems quite irritated

We see this fairly often in tangs here. The round, superficial growth pattern seems to point to a bacterial skin infection. If the spots are not growing larger, and new spots are not forming, I would be inclined to just observe it for now. Otherwise, the treatment of choice would be to move the fish to a treatment tank and dose it with a broad spectrum, gram negative antibiotic such as Neoplex.
