Hi! I’m new to the hobby, kind of inherited it actually. I’m not sure what type of fish this is other than it’s blue and yellow and an angelfish. In the last week or so I’ve noticed his face is white and his black isn’t as vibrant. He is in a 75 right now with a 225 cycling downstairs. He is a jerk to tankmates (a clown fish and Valentini puffer) and eats fine.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

This looks like HLLE (Head and Lateral Line Erosion). Various causes have been proposed (poor water conditions, poor feeding (lack of certain vitamins), use of certain 'dirtier' forms of carbon and others. It can usually be stopped by excellent nutrition, excellent water quality, and the use of only high grade carbon (if any). There is also come commentary that it could be caused by a parasite - and some people treat it with Metronidazole. @Jay Hemdal? Hope this helps

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

There are two related syndromes - Head and Lateral Line Erosion (HLLE) and Epithelial Thinning. Did this develop over just one week, or did it take longer to develop?

Here is my article on HLLE:
