Imo, it's worth it's price. Where are you located? Rainbow aquarium and pond in Southern California had about 10, 2 weeks ago from an inch and a half to 2 and 1/2 in priced at $130..
Los Angeles. No lights though and no algae. Will it matter if I get it now?

Well, imo the fish should go straight into a quarrentine tank which it will stay until it is deemed healthy, or completes medication. Whichever style you use.

No lights isn't an issue other than no algae growth. Without algae on the rocks, you should plan to have seaweed (nori) in the tank available at all times.

Is the tank up and cycled?
All of the bristletooths are Workers. They are constantly eating.

You don't yet.

Everyone changes their tune after a velvet Wipeout.

With that information, I would advise against buying a WT.BT in the local markets as I shop them frequently and know them well. Lines are dirty, infested and disgusting. Every fish from all the shops around us, Should be quarantined.

If you stop the demand prices will lower. Trust me by this time next year the prices will be half of what they are now and possibly lower. The chances of you getting a healthy fish will increase.

Given that global shipment issues and inflation are getting Worse, not better. I think you're incorrect.

There's enough of a backlog of shipping containers to keep most of the world major shippers full and running for 6 months, Currently.

i cant think

Blue Eye by far! Absolutely stunning species. Also yes you can get yellow eyes, although not the true Strigosus, you can get the Trunctatus which is very similar just spots instead.
Here’s why I vote blue eye though!
And yes, These are all the same fish :)

It could happen as soon as December. JUst be patient and get a healthy fish. They are on their way
Based on What?

Do you think the global supply chain is going to be miraculously fixed?

Do you believe animal connection and transport supply lines are going to all of a sudden clean themselves up when they have gotten used to working on quantity not quality?

Do you think your dollar will be worth more than it is now, in a hyperinflationary environment?

Yea that’s actually what my Lfs had. I might get one if they are in stock again. That being said is it better to buy online or from Lfs?

Uhhh it could go either way. Some online places are crap and some are good. Some LFS are good and some are crap.

Ask them what they did to QT it. Because saying it is QT could mean a lot of things....

Could mean tyhey have had it 14 days and just watched it...

Could mean they treated it with prazi pro

Could mean they treated it with copper for 30 days...

I wouldn't pay a mark up for some half butt job.

I think we will see heavy deflation eventually. As to when that will happen and it’s effects is a complete mystery. So I’ll take that with a grain of salt. I think the debate is whether people are going to get out of the hobby in the future. Covid tanks and all. some people will lose interest but many might stick with it.

Well first of all we have a house on the big island. I swim with 4 pound tangs daily and they breed like rabbits. I personally think that supply chain in the US will increase because if inflation gets any worse you wont see a dem in office for a decade if not longer. Not sure if I answered all your questions but will be happy too. TOUGH LOVE
