Blue hawk trash can as ATO reservoir?

So I just got a blue hawk trash can from Lowe’s as a vacation ato reservoir. Got it all cleaned out and ready for water, but I’ve always seen people use brute trash cans so was wondering if there was any other reason aside from the durability? Like possible leaching or something?

You want the can to be food safe. Look for a symbol in the bottom which says HDPE or the number 2.

5 is also food safe. There’s lots of categories

5 is polypropylene which is good. Also a symbol of a fork and wine glass also indicates food safe. As I said lots of categories.
