We have had a blue spotted puffer for 4 months and he ate everything in site. We went on vacation and since we got back he is not eating. We noticed his teeth might of been the problem but have trimmed them and he still isn't eating...even swims away from the food. What can I do?

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

Was somebody caring for the tank while you were on vacation? Could something have gone wrong with what they were doing?

Can you post a picture and/or a short video?

How long ago did you trim the teeth?

We left several clams for him and had someone come by during the week for a day to feed mysis shrimp. I trimmed his teeth on Sunday this week. He is about 2 inches long.

It may just need more time to get over the tooth trim?

How did u go with the blue spotted puffer eating? How did u cut his teeth?

I have one and his teeth grew so he couldn't what pellets. I used clove oil to numb him and gave him a trim today. I was a bit nervous and he did puff up but seems to be swimming around again now.
