Was just hoping to get an expert opinion, since I have always usually assumed ICH in these situations.

A juvenile Blueface angel just starting his change in quarantine. Received him three days ago. He has been in 1.0 copper power measured with Hanna checker for last 24 hours. Planning on getting that raised up to 1.5 in next 12 hours and to 2.0 within another 12 hours.

I do believe that this is ICH, but know how bad velvet can be if not treated. Appreciate any help I can get so I can be proactive if this just the start of velvet.

Thanks,
Alex

Based on size of nodules- this is Ich. Having quarantine is a great first step.
Best treatment would be coppersafe or general cure with coppersafe my choice at therapuetic level 2.25-2.5 monitored with a reliable copper test kit such as Hanna brand, not Api
Also monitor ammonia level with a reliable test kit during treatment .

Appreciate the quick reply. I am currently using copper power and will be ramping it up. Curious if there are any extra benefits to the copper safe in your opinion as I have been using the copper power the past few years.
I agree that Hanna copper is a must in these situations and will continue to use mine. I usually use General Cure a bit later, but getting ahead on that with the ICH already showing is probably sound.
Thanks again for the response.

Dont ramp. Bring to level within 24-36 hours
