Short story to start things off. I started learning about reefing while I lived in Henderson NV and joined my first club LVVR ( Las Vegas Valley Reefers ) in 2005. After a divorce I moved back to the Bay Area and started a 29G Bio Cube and joined BAR ( Bay Area Reefers ) in 2011. As funds got better I was in Aquatic Collection in Hayward and was looking at buying a 45G cube but knew that I wanted something bigger when I said that one of the owners said “ we are selling our DT “. An hour later I came back and bought the set up. They kept all the fish and corals. Now I think this build will not be very interesting to some of you. I believe in keeping my systems very simple. Nothing special other than a protein skimmer. It started off as a mix reef but now it’s mostly sps. I have another 200G that will be mostly LPS ( my wife likes corals “ that move “ ). So this system has 3 radion gen 2 lights , reef octopus skimmer , sump holds about 120g , vectra M1 return , and jebao powerheads. Tank has been up and running for alittle over a year now and doing very well

For fish that interest me its mostly wrasses. My list that I have is pretty long. So long that I have a 180G that sits next to my reef that holds other wrasses that either wont fit in my reef or simply might be a problem. There will be another 200G going up that will continue my wrasse obsession. I do have other fish I enjoy but wrasses are by far my favorite

Tank has been in recovery for about two months. Got sick and the tank suffered. Lost lots of sps. Have plans to switch the rock work up a bit in March. Toying with the idea of also switching to Kessil 360NE. Have 2 over the tank now. Will get some updates soon

Sad update , tank has come down. Much thanks to our power company in this decision. Still have a 200g and a FO 180 to play with
