Tank did well while I was gone fortunately. No new issues, though I still have lingering AEFW. Two rounds of Purge and ~7months of KZ flatworm stop have failed to eradicate the buggers. Moving on to Melafix dips I guess. Going to be some carnage pulling everything out, but I don't see another way.

Meanwhile everything looks good overall

Pickachu is making a comeback, I've tried to kill this one a couple times now.

Bulb replacement time. After running with the 6500k Giesemann Tropic I've decided I don't like it enough. Too much yellow/orange for me. But going back to 3 C+/3 B+ was too blue. So today I'm trying 4 C+ / 2 B+.

Here's all 3 with the same develop settings in Lightroom (roughly)
3 Blue+, 2 Coral +, 1 Tropic 6500k

4 C+ seems to push a little red in the picture, but in person is appears whiter and brighter than 3 C+

Final bulb layout for the next 18months, (3) Blue, (2) Coral +, and an Aquablue Special. Mainly because the last C+ I had went bad 2 days after install and ABS is what I had on hand. I kinda like it though. Similar to the 6500K Tropic but not as yellow.

Having a fairly significant cyano outbreak since the move, but otherwise most things look good. Some acros are starting to recover from the aefw and grow again.

Still battling the cyano, I let it get too much of a head start before getting serious. Started by just trying to blow it off and vacuum the sand, but that got me no where. I tried H2O2 dosing, and that did slow the cyano a bit, it wasn't going away very fast. I then tried Dr Tim's Refresh/WasteAway. That has made significant impact and I'm slowing seeing the cyano fade away.

I added a convict tang as a re-home. I'd hoped to put him straight into the new tank, but that's dragging out.

I have eliminated the cyano. It took 6-8 weeks to finally see the end, but it went form covering every surface in the tank (even spots in the sump where there's not a light) to not a trace to be found in any corner of the tank. The combo of Dr TIm's Refresh and Waste-Away is a winner.

And now my sps have been taking off. 2019 was a good year for the tank. Here's a shot of my TCK Pikachu over 2019

That looks absolutely killer. When are you going to start migrating acros over. When does the new build thread start
I started a build thread. I'm bad about updating it so far though. I told my wife that I would be moving corals over to the new tank this month so that this one can be broken down. I'll need to put a couple test frags in soon to see if that's feasible.

All good things come to an end. After 3yrs and 8 months, I took this tank down. Last year I upgraded to a 180G and so it's time move onward and upward.

Frags of all the acros went into the new tank along with all of the fish.

New tank is coming along. In an ugly phase with cyano and some hair algae, but it will pass.
