If one gets a boxfish, lets say a scribbled boxfish, should they be worried about the boxfish nuking the tank if they have only peaceful tankmates with it? I think i know the anwser, just wanted to make sure

I’ve never had a box fish release toxins except when freshly collected. I have however noticed a disturbing trend over the years - where the trunk/cowfish do well (once through quarantine) but then I lose them before a year or so.

No - the only time I've ever had issues with trunkfish is right after they are collected - putting them in with other fish is a problem. I hear stories once in awhile of these nuking tanks, but I've not had that happen myself.

Do you mean to say you “haven’t” had that happen yourself?
Thanks, Indeed, the typo monster strikes again....I'm struggling with issues on my end; between my tiny iPhone and my stubby fingers, plus poor typing skills....

As much as I would love a boxfish, it will probably eat my corals.
also, them dying in a year turns me away from trying.

My son has repeatedly told me the same thing - but the cost! I have an iPhone 7 on Straight talk....

I have this new gaming keyboard that has reduced my typos, but there is some accidental keypress that I make that suddenly deletes ALL of the text I just entered, and I have to start over - sigh. I've begun saving a draft from time to time in order to avoid that issue.
