Good day,
I've got a Boyo LZ 1500 tank and I would love to add an overflow for a sump.
I want to drill the back side of the tank to add an overflow but im not sure if it tempered glass or not.

Does anyone maybe know if it's tempered glass or not?

Yes, it is tempered glass, or not!

Hopefully some one with a better knowledge of the situation will chime in.

since it’s your tank I am willing to bet that it is not. Put a glass hole saw on it and then we’ll know for sure.

Anybody else?

Use an lcd screen device and polarized sunglasses, if the glass distorts the screen it is tempered…you can google this information to see exactly how to do it.

Thanks for the info! I have not heard of this before. I used to temper glass in a factory many years ago and the only way I knew was to read the temper stamp or look for the tong marks where the pane was hung from as it went through the oven.
