I won't start naming brands. It seems to me that different companies have good products they specialize in. Once they try to use their brand to come out with different products, the quality of those new products may be not great. In other words, a company may make a killer set of lights, but their pumps may be junk. For that reason I would never stick to just one brand

I like to buy from the new up and coming brands as I find they tend to have a better customer service and they price accordingly and I will never pay the price for the so called top brands who to me charge ridiculous prices for products that really are not that good and I find their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

"Brand club members" are now called fan boys, and they can get quite loud and obnoxious. I am not a fan boy of any brand, and will never say get this brand over that, unless there is really strong case for it (ex: current USA lights shouldnt be used on 24" high SPS dominant tank) While I may like 1 brand over the other, it doesnt mean I will always use thatbrand, and that brand alone. I am also frugal and dont need super high end equipment, so due to that I think I may have more options to choose from than people that do need best of the best.
I typically gravitate to Red Sea Test kits and Brightwell Additives/Salt

1. Yes

2. Quality and Customer service. Especially when something inevitably breaks.

3. Team Reef Octopus (nostalgia and still proud owner of varios and SRO 5000 ext)

Team Neptune- quality products and stellar customer/tech support. I’d stay loyal to this team for the tech support alone.

Team Tunze: quality and customer support are amazing.
