Custom MRC starfire tank (7x3x3) metal stand and MRC isump with fluidized bio bed
4 radions
3 vectra L1s
1 S1
1 mp60
1 panta rhei ecm hydrowizard
Dastaco calc reactor
Bubble king skimmer
Neptune system with 3 power bars
And a UV

Along with the closed loop pushing back at the overflow , we also created a hard plumbed drain that goes straight into a floor sink for easy water changes ...

Now I need suggestions on inhabitants!!

Welcome to Reef 2Reef. That’s one big tank, ought to be fun picking all the fish it will eventually hold. Got to house some butterflies though.

All I can say is WOW. That tank is HUGE! I can't even imagine the possibilities of stocking with that thing.

How do you like your MRC I Sump? specifically the moving bio bed? I am designing an I Sump now and looking for suggestions. Thanks!

it is a must when building an Isump. It adds a level of biodiversity that not many other devices can bring to a home aquarium. To my knowledge a lot of big public aquariums are ditching the large sand filters in favor of this, I would do the same.only
Draw back is that the aquarium’s loudest part is the air pump, It took me getting two to find the most powerful but quietest one. I had the confidence to cycle the tank with a black tang, gem
Tang and copperband among others , the bio bed really helped compensate for being a new tank. Any specific questions just ask

Originally the vivohome which I think was recommended by MRC , thing sounded like a jack hammer .... I searched the web for the right psi output because they need to turn the media constantly . I went with the very large danner, was like
180 bucks( like a big grey shoebox), I kept the loud one mounted just in case the danner ever went out.
I think it’s important to have a spare air pump , when it comes to the biobed.

Nice setup, the custom tank looks great! I am in the design process now for an I Sump and separate refugium on my 210. Planning both to be large enough to accommodate a possible tank upgrade in the future. I will definitely look at the MRC custom tanks. My DT is on the first floor and my sump is in the basement. Hopefully the air pump isn’t too loud and is somewhat energy efficient.

Corals look great! Who did you get your sump and tank from?
