one year in with the 210
we tried the towering stacks, looked nice, but difficult for coral placement
this one seems to be working so far
the plating monti on the left is getting huge and shadowing the rock under it... may need to fix that one day.
Currently, 1 clown, 1 kole tang, 1 pj cardnal and 1 eng goby
had a mishap a few months ago and lost 7.
Picking up another clown, 3 pj's and a flame hawk this weekend.

Setting up my first reef tank! This is my first rock aquascape. I made several different things and then destroyed them because I didn't like how they turned out. I have huge Marco rocks that I broke into little pieces that I wish I would have saved a couple to do an rock island because I saw one that was beautiful. I was very indecisive when came to what I wanted for my scape. I wanted to buy some of the pieces but everyone changes like 100+ for arches. I made this all myself and I really like it. I wasn't sure I was gonna like the 3 pedestals but I really like them and can't wait to make little coral islands. I wish my tank was wider too lol. But I can't wait for this tank to cycle so I can start adding some fish and then some corals. Or should it be corals and then fish?

Very nice looking scape and great job. It sure does not look like your 1st aquascape. One caution however,,,it looks like the rock structure in the left back corner is against the glass. If it is that will be a challenge to keep clean of algae unless you plan to grow GSP there and don't plan to clean the glass there.

Upon closer review I guess you made a loop and it's not touching the glass. Nice!

This is how my scape looked back in 2018. 72x22x24.

Unfortunately had to bring this 180g down due to some emergency house work in September 2021.:worried-face::pleading-face:

Looking forward for a new build in 2nd half of this year. It will be FOWLR this time.

R2R... Thanks for bringing this aquascaping thread.

Cheers.

Hello all. I’ve just completed my scape but I have a few concerns and would like some advice . The tank I have is 231/2 inches and i was trying to stay low for when I try sps but I think I went too low. I have some rock left most of it is the stuff left from busting up the Marco rock. And I have one large shelf piece left. Everything I try at this point throws away from the scape I have. Keep in mind this is my first tank and first time aquascaping. I have a reefer 625 g2 that this is going in. 59lx24wx23h . Cheers

First post and first try at my own aquascape. It's going in a 40 gal breeder. Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

I wasn't a big fan of my purple structure I built so I took it out and added another rockscape to add some more caves. I have a pic of when i first added it and now a few months later, I also finally managed to put up a background so it's not just the wall, wires and tunes showing. My rocks are finally starting to get some coralline algae on them!

The bottom of the light is the height of the tank. It will be an LPS dominant tank so I want to leave lots of room for growth. I have an on over crowded IM 20 and need space so the corals don't sting each other. I have mostly gonis, one frogspawn and a few other things I will be fragging an transfering over to this waterbox 65.4. I will fill a couple of the back chambers of the aio with matrix rock to supplement this minimalist design. I plan to add a couple extra shelves to the left rock Island and also maybe to middle one.
