Brand new Kole Tang breathing heavily and laying on its side

Just received this Yellow Eyed Kole and a Purple Tang from a highly recommend full qt online vendor, put them both in yesterday and they were doing well when we went to bed last night. Woke up this am and the Kole was laying on the sand bed and breathing heavily. He’s not looking good at all now, any recommendations on what i can do to save this little fella??

sorry to hear 1st more oxygen ,airstone ,topwater movement increase,asap!!!!,check params,post them,and any recent changes to tank,age of tank....AIR ASAP..Best wishes..following purple ok? #reefsquad

Methylene blue is a very gentle product that can help the fish breathe easier and help with some other possible issues as well. Best used as a 30 minute bath but can dose the QT as well but will tint everything blue-ish.

Got him in a makeshift qt and his color is really disappearing. Tank is about 5 months old, nothing new except 1 frogspawn we added last weekend and the purple he came with from the same vendor. Purple has been acting completely normal and eating since they went in yesterday afternoon

Was just about to give him a Meth Blue bath, but he didn’t make it. Really sad, only had him a day but loved his color and look. Any telltale signs from this pic on what might have happened? The vendor i got it from and i are thinking maybe too much stress from the transport and new tank?

sorry to hear ,where his fins tattered when he arrived?he looks a little on the thin side,but is kinda normal to not feed before shipping..if not too extreme,he looks like extreme..jmo,still a bummer

They were a little tattered so don’t think he was bullied to death
