10 years ago I had a pair of maroon clowns that became an item and they had a sebae anemone they were being hosted by. I never could get them to lay eggs but they were hard to separate from each other.

No, always on the rock next to the bubble tip they host. I should put a tile in the tank, maybe they would lay the eggs on that.
try inserting a terracotta flower pot next to the spawning site and they will eventually lay inside or on the pot.

worthwhile using 2 or 3 so they have a choice and won't get upset by the removal of the pot with eggs.

may be worthwhile switching their diet as there's a possibility the eggs are not viable. i achieved best results when feeding my pair with high quality pellet food
