Fish are looking great.
Are those Tangs getting along?
Everyone is getting along fine right now. While I miss the Convict tang I didn't realize just how much aggression he was starting to cause. The tank is much quieter now. I have noticed that the remaining fish are more skittish now. The Convict was always swimming around and I think he acted like a dithering fish. With him gone the other fish seem less confident to be out and about

"OMG I'm looking so fat in this dress and your taking pics ? ! ? ! ? ! "
The Hippo could probably use a diet....

I'm looking at adding 6 wrasses and a blenny.
Well then... any particulars? I'm starting my fish list for my dream build down the road. And I want a leapord bad.

I'm looking at adding 3 or 4 fairy wrasses and 2 or 3 flasher wrasses. I love the leopard wrasses but my amphipod population will really be pushed with that many predators.

So I was doing some tank maintenance before todays club meeting and realized that it would make an interesting shot of my system that I don't normally show. These were taken about 1/2 way through a 35g water change.

Thanks!

It is going back up. I pulled a large birdsnest out along with breaking/scraping back large sections of plating monti's. That caused my Alk consumption to drop to around 80ml per day. Back up to 102ml now and still climbing. That is on top of the 1.4L of saturated Kalk I add daily. So, it's a bit over 1dkh per day on an estimated 170g water volume.

NOOO!!!! Plating Monti's are evil!!!!!! If I could make them go away I would.

I have a 5g ATO reservoir that I add using a dosing pump. 70 doses per day at 20ml each. When it is close to empty I dump in the powdered kalk (a little more than is called for) then dump in the water and consider it mixed. Nothing fancy and no stirrer.

Get some dinoflagellates or cyanobacteria. That stuff is easy to get rid of by comparison. ;Wideyed

I have to scrape them back to keep them from overgrowing my SPS. I've lost 2 small acro frags (at least) due to being busy and not noticing they were about to cover them.
