Hi,

Looking for any info out there if these bricks or blocks leach anything into the tank? Aluminum, Tin, Lithium?

Did a recent ICP test and those were off the charts. See this thread below:


I recently added 4 of the bricks to my tank about 3 weeks before I got this test. Not sure what else could be leaching? Someone mentioned glass leaching tin which I’ve never heard before? Some said maybe the dry “life rock” I used to start my tank?

Some pointed to the bio bricks/blocks so interested to hear what people say.

Ive had one dimpled block running in my tank for 14 months now and done 3 Triton tests. Nothing elevated. Aluminum was on my first test but that was due to running phosguard which is aluminum based.
ive since added another plate.

When I used Marine Pure blocks I did have elevated aluminum but not tin or anything else. When I switched to Brightwell nothing was elevated. Not even aluminum.

what other brands see people using to supplement not enough rock in display tank?

Any that do not leach?
