I've never had problems with this stuff before. My tank has seen more action in the last year than all other years put together. LOL You folks are a bad influence.;)

This stuff started showing up last year and I was wondering if there are any tips to getting rid of it aside from just grinding it off the rock.

FW dipping didn't work and the turbos don't seem to like it too much. This stuff seem bullet proof.

Thanks all.

I had an issue with it a long time ago, the only thing I found that worked was a increase of water changes, increase in skimming, and I changed my bulbs on my tank to MH and haven't seen it since. I keep the same water change schedual now and make sure my skimmer is in good working order every water change...... Other then that I pulled the rocks out took a stiff toothbrush and scrubed them till it looked clean and the rest is history.....That stuff is a PITA if you can't stay on top of it....
