Embrace the worms. They equal biodiversity.hi, i am new in this hobby.i just bought live rack with coral on it,but some worms in there .i dont like it .my question is how can cleared up this racks without demege the corals ? thanks
Yes it is. While they are Not welcomed in my tanks, many retain them for cleaner crew as they feed on uneaten food and detritus. Not a danger until you try to handle them with bare hands
I grab them manually when I get up during the night. They come out to feed.hi, how did u get out them? i have small 1/2 inch red color .
When you say manually you mean by hand? I thought the produced a pretty nasty sting?I grab them manually when I get up during the night. They come out to feed.
Arrow crabs will eat them like candyBristleworms are the best detritivores you can have in your tank, and you will never be completely rid of them short of treating your tank with some sort of insecticide. Manual removal of big ones can control populations, and feeding less will lead to them naturally falling into smaller population levels.
When you get the bristles on your fingers, if you dont know how to do the mexican hat dance- YOU WILL !!!When you say manually you mean by hand? I thought the produced a pretty nasty sting?
That's true. Do you worry about arrow crabs spearing your fish though? I've heard some pretty horrific horror stories about rogue arrow crabs. Very interesting creatures thoughArrow crabs will eat them like candy
