So got first salt water fish yesterday.
Noticed when home tattered caudal fin on one and what looked like deformaty behind both eyes when taking video and zooming in.
Next morning ( now) i noticed......
Noticed just behind each eye 2 bumps.
Under closer inspection:
Caudal fin tattered.
2 largish spots behind each eye ( not on eye )
Dorsal fins not raised.
Hovering in one spot behind plastic ornament near bottom of tank
Slightly fast breathing
After feeding white poop
Smaller white specs around different parts of body.
Still actively eating .
So brook or velvet i take it ? What you guys think.
Best course action treat with cupramine?
They in qt tank already and thought naively just be observation

There 2 clownfish i bought and other fish looks like doing great ( so far )
And to add the fish that worried about got slight loss of colour also.
So looks like 1 disease with the largish specs behind eyes ans the actions of fish and possible secondary condition with the caudal fin maybe

Looks like both brook and aggression and if just purchased, unacceptable.
You will need to conduct formalin bath and then formalin treatments.
I would return it before going into a huge expense to save it. I can’t believe any store would send a customer home with a fish with this type of condition

I don't think it's Brook. I recently lost two clowns to it and it happened incredibly quickly and their entire bodies were covered in what looked like pealing skin, slime, etc.

Did you buy the other two clownfish at the same time? With Clowns, three are a crowd. You either do a bunch or just two at a time. What other fish you have? How big is the tank? White poop could be normal, but it's often an indication of internal parasites.

Just bought 2 clownfish only,2 really small juveniles like 1 inch.
I got 2 internal filters in 54 litre which i believe is 15 us gallons and one used just for flow and to not stress fish out yesterday afternoon when introduced them to tank after 15 minute bag floating ( for temp) took 30 minutes to get home from store.and just under 1 hour aclimininastion adding half cup tank water to jug i had them in every 5 minutes.
And just turned the internal filter on with no sponge inside back on and both fish swimming around quite normally except dorsal fins down on fish in question.
Fish in question is doing the submissive clownfish flashing i think its called as other fish swims towards it by flashing its side and shaking.
Well as wrote that now fish in question back down in front of ornament

Sounds like they are sorting out who's going to be boss at the moment. This can be fatal but usually isn't and the two eventually settle into harmony. The problem in removing the fish is that you'll have to re-introduce them eventually and will likely have to deal with the same problem again. It's a tough call.

Well was just going to ring lfs up and see what can be arranged etc and just remembered they open 6 days a week and day they are closed happens to be today ( tuesday ) so cant speak to them or take fish back today even if wanted.im going send them a email with attached pictures shortly just to make them aware of my concerns.hopefully no major problems with my very first salt water fish but if there is im so glad i decided to put them in seperate qt system first ( which naively thought just be glorified observation if im honest, with possibility of medication if needed) but such is life.
Ok thankyou to both of you for quick replies and i see if anyone else got any other opinions and yeah i see alot of the trying to establish who is boss going on in this qt tank for sure.

Ok just checked emails and lfs replied back after a hour.
They offered me to swap one or both the clownfish from same tank or get more clownfish in on thursday and be put in different tank or full refund.
So if decide run fallow from my research is if it was brook then need empty tank for 6 weeks or do full 76 days to eradicate any parasite except one that doesn't need a fish to survive.
And display tank stays empty even longer lol ( but bought display tank 5 years ago and sat empty due to going on holidays then ill health then 2 months ago started buying few remaining items needed to start cycling which cycling for last 1 month already now) so another 6 weeks or even 76 days not going be that much difference ( but would prefer it if both my fish not had nothing wrong off course as seems got so close to starting the race then pulled up at first hurdle) and not buying another tank and get that cycled and get fish sooner as mrs wouldnt be happy as already 3 freshwater tanks/salt water display and this qt tank in flat /apartment already and a coral qt tank to buy in few months down the line when ready for corals lol

Here 2nd morning after woke up and take pictures.one the white lumps near right eye has moved out the white band and into /over the orange part of his head and got extra white on back his body.could describe as slime coating peeling off but only if look under zoom on picture and lfs had fish in store since last Thursday and today is wednesday and i had since monday tea time ( 5.15 pm) .
Lfs sent another email asking for sample my water as " almost looks like something has burned the fish like from change in salinit or something" they salid .
So my sg same and amnonia is 0ppm and nitrite is either 2 or 5ppm on a ( api test kit ) even after 90% water change NITRITE still read 2 or 5 ppm ( i know strange but thats what it is ) so after reading nitrite not toxic to fish whatsoever as chloride in water stops them intaking it plus few on other thread saying tank is cycled if can make 2ppm amnonia -0 ppm in 24 hours and used doctor tims one and only and 22 days cycling .now i worried they say fish is like it is due to nitrite being so high as some say need amnonia and nitrite 0 amd some say just need amnonia 0 ppm so will keep updated what happens ^_^
Also one picture of the other fish that looking great

Ok update took both fish back and swapped for another 2 and paid closer inspection thos time.picked largest and another went in lfs net so destined to be together ( hopefully ha ha )
Lfs said looks like a fluke and white marks on back that appeared sometime since last night- this morning could be sogns of aggresssion.
Got a nagging feeling that this may come back and bite me in the butt as should took both fish back and ran tank fallow for sometime so any possible parasite dies but we shall see if totally messed up or all will be ok ^_^
