Brown Diatoms (as Expected), Bit of Advice on Next Steps Please ?

So 6 Weeks in ,got the Brown Diatoms (I know to be expected) all over sand and some of the Glass, been readng forums and as usual so much information and a lot seems to confict, anyone recommend Seacham Phosguard treatment (or Similar) , Water Changes or just let it ride out ? Tank Contains 1 Clown, 1 Cleaner Shrimp, 2 Hermit Crabs and 2 Snails. Live rock, Couple of Zoa frags and a Torch. Thanks in advance for advice

Depends on the type of tank you want. A tank that is chemically natured, or one that is more or less "naturally" catered. Sounds like it could be time to up the clean up crew now, or like you said, dose some sort of agent.

I run phosguard in my system, but only cuz I want that clean pristine look, but otherwise, I would just let it be.
I typically put it in a media bag and leave it in the sump for a week or so and then remove it - I don’t have a huge issue with diatoms
