Hello,
A little over a week ago, I purchased a kamohara fang blenny, and it is currently in QT with a clownfish and an orange spot blenny. One immediate concern of mine was that it had a crooked spine, in which it never swam swam straight and constantly had its head bent. It still ate and acted normal, so I largely ignored it. Next, it developed what looked like ich, which disappeared rather quickly under copper treatments. A few days later, it began to develop a brown mark on its left side, which I wasn’t sure whether or not this was related to previous health issues. These markings began to expand over the left side, and now the fish has began to lose interest in food. I am leaning towards a bacterial infection as the diagnosis, but would like to know other opinions on this matter, and what I should do to treat this. The blenny is currently under copper, but if this seems bacterial, I can switch to using an antibiotic.

Can you get a photo using white light? The blue saturation makes it impossible to evaluate the fish's condition.

Looks like it could still have a couple of ich spots on its tail.

I presume this is a tank raised fish, from the bent spine? (developmental deformity)

I can only see some general scrapes on its body - is it in with any other fish?

The fish is currently being housed with a clown and an orange spotted blenny. I haven’t witnessed aggression, however, aside from the orange-spot being rather territorial (it has never actually bit a fish to my knowledge, though). It is captive bred, which definitely explains why its spine is bent. The ich spots on the tail are actually just coloration, as they haven’t gone anywhere and are pretty transparent. I’ll try to get better pictures, too. Although the lighting is currently on the white spectrum, my iPhone camera slightly distorts the image.

I’ll add that the brown appears similar to if algae was growing on the fish.
Similar to what’s on this tang (the brown, not all the other problems):

The brown coloration doesn’t come out as clearly in the photo, but you can see the discolored rings along the side.

Other than the other blenny taking a swipe at it when you aren’t looking, I don’t have any thing else to offer I’m afraid….

Looking at it, the rings are about the diameter of the blenny’s mouth. I’ll continue to monitor.
Do you recommend I treat with metro or kanaplex to see if it does anything? Or only if it (the brown) gets worse?

Not metro, that is primarily anti-protozoal. I like Neoplex but if you have kanaplex, try that.

Sounds good, I’ll probably do that if it continues to become worse.
I am also going to put in a tank divider because I recently caught the orange spotted blenny attacking the fang blenny, which most likely is the cause of these marks.
