Zooxanthellae -- mushrooms and other animals with symbiotic relationships with zooxanthellae will expel it for a number of reasons. It will often do it if it's stressed, but I've found that some of my nem-cousin creatures will just expel it every so often.

How long have you had it? Has anything changed in its environment?

I've had it for about a week and my tank is still cycling/new as well. Once it happened when I did a WC but yesterday just out of the blue.

Are you cycling with bottled bacteria or dosing ammonia? What are your parameters like right now? And where is it positioned in your tank? How much flow and light is it getting? Do you have any other livestock in the tank?

Assure youre providing adequate light. Expelling zooxanthellae indicates some form of stress in which it cannot convert it into the energy that provides the coral color and growth. Aminos wil also help the coral.
